Dash removal/sheer bolts and sticky windows

Post by Team28crew »

I need to service the old blower  , where can I get the correct replacment sheer bolts from for removing and replacing the dash or is there a suitable alternitive that will do the trick.
And my front windows are sticking, the seals and scrapers have been replaced and are tight against the glass, I have had the door panel off on one of them and I can't make out how the glass attaches to the runner on the winder mech, can anyone tell me the best way to secure the glass to the runner as I only want to do this once, I have thought about silicon but will this be strong enough ?
Any help is very much appricated.

As far as your question about shear bolts is concerned, try these folks. These are a standard part fitted to most british designed and built vehicles from the last centuary.

Fritz,,,,,,PS, personally I'd be using 8 mm set screws/ flat and spring washers which can be found in the high street.....

and now for a window expert to help you with your problems up front.......
One day you will find me,,
Driving in my Camper,
With a Surf and Paisley wrap on both sides....

Cheers Fritz
I think I'll go for the 8mm option myself as Im bound to put it all back together and find something on floor that should of been refitted when I took it all apart.
