12volt sink pump

hi folks just connected up my leisure battery to test what is working on my 1984 devon sunrise,lights ok, fridge ok i think,12volt socket ok but sink pump has voltage but wont pump water? the van has been off the road 11 years prior to me buying any ideas thanks steve.

Assuming it's a submesible type, If connecting 12V directly across the two leads of the pump fails to energise it then its probably had it! Try giving it a hard tap but after a long lay up they seize. If it works then check for switches on the tap, Control Panel set to on, fuses, etc and check they function, wired correctly and any master 12V feed switches are on.

might also need to turn the metal impeller with a pair of long nosed pliers (once you remove the intake grill) - the pump on my van is always sticking and needs freeing up when I go to use it
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!
