Fitting rad cooling fan ?

Is it possible to remove the worn out radiator fan on my van and refit another one without draining down the coolant system and removing the radiator ?
I'm in my own lill world but its ok cos everyone here knows me !

I can only speak for a 1.9 dg engine but according to the haynes manual,technically you can drop the radiator without detaching the hoses or draining the system. I haven't tried it but yes it is possible.

yes its possible, but just remember how heavey it is going to be full of coolant.... been there done that, getting it down is easy, changing the fan is easy, but putting it back on your jack jones isnt so easy......!!

and remember to disconnect the rad fan sender in the rad, or you will he having it hanging by the sender cables...(been there done that too!!!!)

Thanks for the info guys, i to have read in the haynes bible that its possible but i was just wanting confirmation from people with the tee shirt :ok
