spluttering

Hi again,

This time Herbetsy is being a naughty girl. She starts fine and idles o.k. automatic choke o.k. but when running seems to have loss of power, sounds spluttery/missing? feels juddery when low revs, misfires occasionally and smells rich. We have removed air filter and sprayed carb cleaner in. We have a pierburg 2E 3/4 (not sure which one) carb. A new fuel filter, plugs and rota arm already re-newed.

Any ideas????

Go back to basics and check the in-line fuel filter and if it is dirty and contains bits of rubbish it would be a good idea to replace it asap. then after that have the carburettor cleaned out if the problem persists.
