I've run on Multivan alloys with both 185R14 Maxxis Light Truck tyres (very good high mileage tyres..) and 215R14 Transspeeds as "summer tyres" and to be honest the MPG seemed a little better on the larger tyres. I'm now running on 195R15 Marshall AT on steelies (slightly smaller rolling radius than the 215r14) and the MPG seems to have improved again, so I guess I've hit a lucky combination.
The 205/70/14 you have on your alloys are about 3cm less rolling radius than your 185r14 so my gues is it will probably make your MPG a bit worse. Swap em over and have a go is the only way to know for certain though (and they will look the part

Be sure to check the load rating and the age of the 205s though..
