My Rebilid - Panel Van Conversion
Just though I would post some pics of my van rebuild, I'm going for a californian drag / cal look...
So far I have had some welding done, removed the old interior and started to build a more conventional RnR setup. I have replaced the seats with Saab 9000 leather seats and fitted side windows...
BRM5's ready to go on once I have repainted...
Side windows fitted...
And some of the interior...
There is still quite a lot to do.. this weekend will be made up of finishing the RnR bed then the dreaded paintwork prep... I'm going to repaint vwry bright white with a roller..

Just got the van back from Phil Silk Interiors, looks ace... just makes the back look great, It's dificult to remember it as a panel van just a few weeks ago!
I'm going to change the carpet on the front of the RnR bed for some black automotive carpet I have got.

Today was interior day whilst the paint is still drying, hopefully 3 or 4 more days of sun will get it baked enough :O)
I'll try to get the new wheels fitted this week now the majority of the painting has been done...

Hopefully it will look cool when I'm done... Although this only gives me 7 days as were off to Scotland in it for two weeks!
The interior is almost finished, and looking at the weather forcast tomorrow should be a good day to paint... I just need to flatten the last coat which has been on for a week...
The new tacho arrived from California yesterday, so have started to get it fitted... And also had the windows tinted, to carry on the black and white look.. It's booked in for a service next week and I should also get the new wheels fitted...

Well just 5 days to go now...
It's been a weekend of re-assembly, electrics, finishing off and also curtains!
Just a few bits to get finished, should be ready for Scotland by Friday

The plan is to head towards Luss for a night, then make out way up to Fort William, Skye and then over to the Western Isles. We'll then cros back over, and head back via Grantully.. this is the general plan, we don't have a set agenda.. we'll just see where the road takes us..
We plan on using campsites and also some wild camping
Really looking forward to it, just hope the van is up to the trip
