Good day fellow t25 ers, can someone please advise me is the AEF coded engine is a straight swap for my lovely 1.6 diesel CS engine. Thanks.

There seems to be a lot of AEF's about at the mo at a real good prices, I have an AAZ in my other camper (one not enough) wanted to go n/a this time.

Not a straight swap.
Dipstick is in the wrong place so needs blocking and re-drilling and other side of engine.
Other than that should be same as fitting a 1Y, which if you do a search on here there's loads of info.
They seem to get slated as a crap engine , I think this is due to the Lucas pump, rather than a bosch one.
but I've had no trouble with mine (touch wood)

The lucas pump is a joke, as are auxilarys if you use them, dipstick as above also wrong.
