My bus sings to me - what is it????

After I have turned the ignition I get a fluctuation high pitched humming noise like there is radio interferance on a speaker but its coming from the engine. it doesnt happen all the time but its getting on my nerves and i need to know its not serious. anyone got any ideas ???

Fraid from the description I don't know what it is.

However it will be electrical, possibly a relay going faulty or worse a wire "arcing" to an earthy bit of metal on the engine.

I would certainly get someone with a bit of knowledge to have a look as electrical problems have been known to start fires

Anyone know anyone in the Devon area that could take a peek ?

If it were a dweezil I'd say your pre-glow relay is on the frizz ...but it aint, so it isn't.
