thanks, the problem I seem to be having is that the leg length is not quite long enough. I wonder if I am looking at the right thing as I only want one piece and not a whole huge expensive kit :(

so is that a 2.1 running without an oil cooler or a 1.9 with 2.1 waterworks on, if it's a 2.1 I'd advise sticking the oil cooler back on they are there for a reason

Hiya Aidan, what's your thoughts on running a non-injection 2.1 ? ... The reason I ask is that all the injection VWs have oil cooler/warmers even though (for e.g. the Scirocco 1.8 ) the carb version of the same engine doesn't have them.

works both ways warms them up quicker so run optimal and lowest emmisions and helps to keep oil cooler than it would be otherwise as to essentialness on a 2.1 running carbs I don't know, someone would have to run datalogging gear to see but lpg engines may run hotter so probably a good idea; all I know is a 2.1 syncro without an oil cooler doesn't last long and rod through the block not fixable, eh Clive
