brake pipes

Post by armyphil »

i have just bought the braided hoses from Brickwerks ( thanks) but my little old copper ones decided to split tear and develop little holes so obviously new ones are in order!!

Two questions really

1 : do companys make the brake pipes from the rear 4 way block up to the flexi pipe, the the short one after
2 : Could anyone be so kind as to knock some up for me ( money waiting) as they want 80 euros over here and although i could make the myself i have no pipe flaring kit!!

Oh now she had secided to have contractions so van needs to be done asap!! Damn women

Thanks all

Do the Brickworks braided hoses come with a Gutachten or Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis (ABE)?

If they don't then you may get grief at the next TÜV.

The Busschmiede does a complete set for 75 + pnp - http://www.busschmiede.de/shop/T3-2WD-S ... atz-Metall

They are a good set highly recomended ( well they look the part) when i finally get round round to using them.

Good year braideds are good spec, I know alot of people that swear by them on vw and non vws a like. Just finally got my set fitted on me polo and there is a noticeable firmness to the brakes now, in comparison to before. Best think to do about the pipes is got to your local trustworthy mechanic and I mean mechanic not how much can I charge you for a service garage and they should be able to knock them up for not many pounds. The price will really depend on the material there madeout of, failing that I'm sure someone on here could knock some up for you for a fair price.

Hope this helps mate
