Any way the 15 mm diameter elbow reduces down to 12 mm once it gets to the metal pipe, Has your pipe got any metal inserts in it?

yes, that's the hose......
no it does not get smaller after the elbow.....15mm seems big....I assume you have the Haines Manual, doesn't it say in there what size hose is needed to attach to that pipe each end?

OK I have the hose here that fits on the pump where yours is.
it measures 15mm on the inside at one end and 10mm on the inside at the other

the end which is 10mm is the water pump it's 4 inches long
