Judder when pulling away in first gear
Could anyone please advise me on this...........
When you pull away the engine shakes causing a knocking noise and judder, when you raise the clutch quite high and pull away slowley it dosnt do it but you have to be very careful, at the moment im thinking engine mount ???? it only happens in first gear when pulling away
Apart from that there is just one other thing i liked to know, being Aircooled how do i know if my engine is over heating? no temp gauge , what happens when it over heats? sorry if these are silly questions

Re: Judder when pulling away in first gear
Juddering question replied to in your other post in General chat!
Engine overheating can usually be noticed by a slowing down of the engine, reluctancy to idle or a big ball of fire out the back of your van...
Only kidding on the last one!

When you pull away the engine shakes causing a knocking noise and judder,
contaminated clutch material.
My clutch did this till I changed it and discovered the gearbox oil seal was usless.
my new clutch is smooooth as.
and with the new mounts it just purrrs

Re: Judder when pulling away in first gear
Most likely as above but could just be a worn flywheel.
