speedo works but no odometer?

i havent stripped out the head yet as everytime i do an electrical fault rears its head!!!

Any ideas what i could do bar replacing the speedo???

THeres a row of gears inside the speedo and the one on the end works its way along the shaft until it no longer makes contact and odometer stops. Happened on mine and pushing it back plus a dab of superglue cured it.

Yeah..this is very common, the gear is a tight interference fit and splits (with age) loads of people, INCLUDING me! have gone down the 'push it back together with a drop of superglue' route, only to find that 1 month to a year later it does the same thing. Covkid hasn't get to that stage yet..... :shock:
Ultimately you either need to take the speedo to a specialist instrument repair business or find a replacement head.

Sounds a bit drastic. If the glue doesn't hold, I'll slide a clip on to that shaft to hold it in place - or, thinking outside the box here, a sleeve that'll stop it going anywhere. :D
