The other thing I get in my local pound shop is abuse and/or general insults. I presume this is some local nicety that hasn't swept the entire country yet or else is just limited to my local branch - Malmart, so named because the owner is called Malcolm.

Well, when I say abuse, its a two way thing ranging from "Oh not you again" to "Well we don't stock EVERYTHING you know". Mind you, I have found some odd things in there including what at first glance appeared to be a legless windchime sheep complete with testicles until I realised that actually it was a faulty one and they were in fact its feet (the other feet lost in transit I think). I did question whether such things should be on display to those of a nervous disposition but I gather they sell a few things in brown paper bags for those in fear of damaged street cred. They just wouldn't tell me what these 'few things' were.

when you get to the counter theres a display cabinet ....its full of inflatable friends and associated ann summers type stuff  ....when you look at it you can feel the assistants eyes one you ..i tend to just have a quick scan and then back to paying for me wipers and sensible stuff that you would buy in there..like even more mugs and tea towels that you dont need but their so cheap you couldnt let them go

thing is though...the 'special' section isnt a pound so i dont buy them...out of principal of course
