Radio signal

Post by PeteIOM »

Hiya!

I replaced the radio in my T25 with one that I thought was better (certainly better spec) and had an iPod socket.

All is good except the radio is terrible!

It fuzzes and crackles loads... but if I stick my arm out the window and grab the aerial.. its spot on! Clear and crackle free... is there a solution apart from sticking my arm out a grabbing it? :)

Cheers
Pete

I'd check you aerial if I were you. Break in it somewhere?

So just just run an earth wire from the aerial to a good metal contact somewhere?

Same problem here......

So just just run an earth wire from the aerial to a good metal contact somewhere?
I tried that and its still the same.
I even bought a new aerial from Brickwerks but it made no difference.
My next step is to fill the hole and move the aerial to the other side, can't see what else I can do.
Rob.

did the aerial plug in correctly with or without the din adapter or did you bodge connection cos the aerial teminal was different to the radio socket, could just be that

Sometimes adding an additional ground to radio/cd case helps.
