Time to say hello !
Thought it's time to say hello to everyone on here.
We've been reading & learning off here for about 6 months & have met a few people who live local to us ( HI )
We've got a T25 that has definitely seen better days & have been trying to get it on the road since the start of the year - however working outside & the weather ( along with me working away ) means we haven't got very far.
It's an air cooled camping model & so far I'm still on the front panel ! - I've just treated myself to a blast cabinet / compressor / air tools & more importantly a cover & gazebo so will hopefully get some progress over the next few weeks & will load some more pics on as I get chance.

I'm sure I'll be asking for loads of hepl & information as I progress !

Hiya and welcome. We have a 1980 van as well. Looks like you are having fun, I get my wife's uncle to help me with ours. He's got it at the moment doing some more work - a new back panel and a new offside lower sill.
Look forward to seeing more pictures as you progress.
Regards
Steve

Re: Time to say hello !
Well - back from work & it's raining heavily ( for a change )
Thanks everyone !
Well - we're in South Birmingham near Kings Heath & I'll update as & when I can - just takes ages to resize all the pics.
At the moment just tyring to get the front panel finished & some paint on it - then the roof base can go on & screen back in so it's watertight (ish) - if you ignore the holes around the side window.
It was a bit of an e-bay bargain ( aren't they the best ones ) as my wife's been mad on them & wanted one for years - after hiring a bay for a long weekend (O'conners campers - devon - very nice & friendly & good fun ) but not useable enough went for the T25 - but had to be Aircooled.

And where it's at now
http://www.flickr.com/photos/peteac81/3769689546/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I've got a few days off next week so I'm hoping to get the base of the roof on - It's a Autohomes Kamper - It lifts straight up & the sides fold up/down - Another ebay bargain that needs total rebuild (off to look at gas struts for it tomorrow ) - If anyone has any pictures of these at all I'd be forever greatful as I've got to work out how it goes together !
If all goes to plan I'll post some more pics - & If I can work out I'll post pics straight on.
Cheers for the encouragement - always needed !

It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!

hello, can't beat knackered Aircooled van's. especially bought on e bay.
pity those who don't drink, when they wake in the morning, thats the best they will feel all day!
