but it runs good.
What do you do to put it back
Just turn the dizzy round 180?
I might add this was how it came to me ...I've not touched it

Seen this on lots of Minis where the distributer drive has been fitted 180 degrees out and the rotor points to the wrong cylinder screwing the firing order up but since yours is running then you must have corrected the firing order by rotating the dizzy, either that or VW's are different.....wouldn't suprise me though.....

It might look out but if the dizzy drive below has been out and put back wrong then the dizzy will have to sit out of the normal position
~The dizzy drive on my bus was way out - number1 cylinder for me was where number3 should be on an untouched engine
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!

jes i thought the photo was really you kev. i like to think us kev's are young guns
i had the same thing on me last bus. i kept putting the leads where haynes manual said they should go and it kept going bang
so i guess my engine had been tampered with too! it's still in counselling
Why pay someone else to fix it for you when you can waste 2 months doing it yourself!
