Re: flashing red oil light and buzzer
Its not good news !! its possible it could be a faulty pressure switch or electrical fault ,But when it happened to me it was new engine time
I'm sure some of the others on here will tell you what to check for in the meantime tell them what engine it is what year it is and put your location on your profile

Re: flashing red oil light and buzzer
If its intermittent and engine sounds healthy check the wire at the high oil pressure switch. The high oil pressure switch wire may have come adrift or has poor connection.

Try an oil change to 20/50 mineral
that'll tell you if its oil pump renewal time

Re: flashing red oil light and buzzer
i had the same problem, mine was slight damp and corrosion on the main multi conector that feeds all the electrics in the dash. the light and the buzzer conections are next to each other,i think it waspositions 5 and 6, i cleaned them up and have not had a prob since
