Just as I feared it would, in the recent torrential downpour my sunroof has sprung a leak.
I took the bus down to a local sunroof specialist who was able to throw light on the problem but not fix it.
Apparently mine is an aftermarket fitment made by VH or Vermeulen Hollandia, so not OG VW.
He said parts would be almost impossible to come by. I've temporarily stopped the leak by gaffa taping round the seal.
So what are my options? Replace the whole thing with a Paris beetles rag top? Try and find a local wizz who could make up the missing parts? Some kind of silicon sealant round the seal? Any other ideas?
Leaky sunroof - what are my options?
