where is this leak coming from? (boot/engine hatch area)

so i lifted he engine hatch to check the oil... im orf away for the weekend in a hour or so.

we've had quite a lot of rain last night and today...

and for some reason the small section of carpet in the back, to the right on the engine access panel/hatch is soaking wet!

i've taken a picture and indicated the area with a red line below...

really it's just this area thats wet. the inside of the tailgate is dry. most of the inside of the wardrobe is dry except for the area immediately next to the wet area indicated below. i can't find any noticeable entry point for the water. any ideas???

Rear tailgate rubber seal? No obvious ingress from rear of hightop where is meets the roof at the o/s/r/ corner?
Enjoy the weekend and take your hairdryer. If it's still raining and you've got now't to do you can dry it manually

nope. everthing apart from that area is bone dry.

I had the same problem and fitted a new door seal but it still leaked so i stuck a lenght of rubber seal about half inch thick on front of the door seal and so far it seems to have worked
