brake disc backing plates

Post by holeydub on 4wheels »

noticed how bad my backing plates were today and am need of a set as i think it'll fail its mot without them... anyway ive seen that the brickwerks sell some but are ment for the later style calipers and hubs.

what i need to know is if they'll fit my 1981 panel van?? or where i can buy them that dont need a second mortgage to pay for them.lol

Your van shouldn't fail the MOT if the backing plates are not there. My van passed at a very strict MOT place a couple of years ago with a couple of the plates missing. Maybe it's better to have none at all than to have some there which are rusting away.

It won't fail the MOT. Fords don't bother to fit them on a lot of there models.
