I was looking for tranny code of my van. I bought it a few days back.
I have the following things written on the tranny.
DH. 20020X
091 301 211A
002 301 201J
My vans vin is WV2 ZZZ 25ZCH******
Appreciate the help.

The gearbox code can be found stamped into the gearbox before the manufacture date near the drive flange.
DH code was fitted to a 1.6 Aircooled

DH box number 20 jan 1980 rebuilt exchange or 1990 if late case and gaskets vw exchange

But mines a 1.6 Diesel nonturbo JK engine code. And I am pretty sure it has its original tranny.
