Handbrake Switch

Post by Seamus »

... and another Newbie question...

my handrake seems to have lost its warning light switch at some point in its life, the wiring appears to be there though. Do you think I could fit one of the door interior light switches in its place, I cant see why it wont work but maybe I need to get a specific switch for it?

thanks again again!

the door pillar light switch is exactly the same one as on the handbrake, 99p from ebay and job done, I now have a lovely red shining light when the handbrake is on... now I wonder if I can get the seatbelt warning light working

yeah, I think seatbelt light might never work, cant see any old cable to the belt holder and I'm not fussed about trying either. Handbrake was only fixed cos the cable was there and there was a sort of bent old rusty switch there too which just looked like it wanted a bit of TLC.
