reverse light switch

Hi Peeps. my reverse lights stopped working on my 1987 1.9 dg with 5 speed box panelvan and don't know where the switch at the g/box end is. Checked on wiki for "where to find it" but only found that it is on the nearside. It's too wet to lie down for a hunt so can anyone help out on the location?

Time to get down and dirty cos it's on the nearside of the gearbox and had a pair of wires going to it. Cleaning the spade connectors may help.

nearside 6 inches in front of driveshaft at 10 oclock

If it helps you dont have to have reverse lights !!!

Ian-- I got down and got dirty. removed switch cleaned all terminals and bingo-reverse lights work.

Aiden--- your description on where to find the switch was perfect. found it no probs. see above for result.

James--- but they are there. I had to make them work.
