16" Doka gets paint :)

Post by manxman »

Seemed to be getting worse in front of my eyes, thats what living near the sea does for you, the seams were getting a bit scabby, was bit of rust in front of one of the rear wheels, rear rhs corner had had a whack and the paint was all faded.

I was never going to get round to doing it so I bit the bullet and sent her to the bodyshop.

been in the shop since mid May, my fault for saying no rush! anyway nearly done now, and looking good, It's still got a few little wobbles to be honest but its used as a pick up truck so it will probably get a few more and if it keeps the rot at bay for a few more years I'm happy, to nice for serious off roading now though :? .......

alloys next big purchase I think, anyone run 16" CV-900's?

last two pics are the same colour, first ones taken with camera on a funny setting

Sweet manxman!

I reckon a set of Merc ML 16" alloys would be the biz on your truck.

It doesn't look unlike the ginger ones.

I am not really a great fan of red but with the black bits it looks spot on.

must admit I did use a pic of that one to show the guys what I ment by black bits arround the windows

Red wouldn't be my first choice either but thats its original colour, and I'm happy how it's turned out.
