Where is the fresh air intake for the heater matrix?
Once we get going the van always seems to be blowing warm air. The control works and changes it from roasting to cool but still we are to hot.
The side vents dont work and I found they were attached to the blanked off side output and I can't route to the open vent on the drivers side.

Side vents?
on the door or on the dash?
the side vents on later vans were attached to the heater box.
My dash vents from out side ( '86 panel)
the door vents were there to let air OUT in the single cab
outside air temp has been warm lately and if the heater matrix does not shut off properly then it will feel warm.

Check that the heater control valve is on the input side of the matrix. If it is on the output side it will always be a bit warm. The pipes on mine had been swapped at some point in the past and it always blew warm air to the floor. Swapping them made all the difference.
NO PIES CAKES OR BEER LEFT IN THIS VAN OVERNIGHT.
