I use a small brass shoot bolt (B & Q £1.99) as the reason I lost the peg thing is that the hole got too big. The bolt can be lifted and rotated so as to allow access while parked up but dropped and rotated while on the move. I have also made a little adapter with peg and hole so that the fridge can be locked about 1/2" ajar when not in used so as to prevent pongs and mustiness. CLeaning and disinfecting the fridge after use is essential in my opinion.
