carb question...

Post by dirtygertie »

my carbs are buggered they are solex 32-34 PDSIT

I bought some carbs from the bay of fleas believing them to be the right ones but the garage says that they won't fit, they are solex 36-40 PDSIT

does anyone know if there is any way we can get these to fit?
if not, what vehicle would they have come off in the 1st place so I can sell them on?

cheers

They where fitted to VW 412's.
28mm venturi for the 75 bhp engine or 30 mm for the 85 bhp engine. Think the mounting stuts are wider apart so would need the 412 manifolds.

I can't sort out the originals unfortunately as they're completely beyond repair (stuck together with superglue... not by me).
Thanks for the replies so far.
