just thinking allowed really.
if you fitted air bag suspension to a syncro could you run it low and stiff and then high and soft.
i`m thinking it probally works the other way around in that increasing the ride height would also increase the stiffness.
here`s hoping i`m wrong.

Re: air bag suspension
Some one has done it on the Samba...
Even had a front bag which was hollow for the damper to go through, I don't think it gives good articulation though, and the consensus was that it was good for the rear with variable loads like a motorcycle rack etc. Will see if I can find.

Re: air bag suspension
thanks, didn`t think about any limitations to the articulation ect. just thought it would be nice to have stiff low suspension for road use and to be able to go higher and softer for offroad.

Re: air bag suspension
Only trouble with that is the wildly changing geometry at differeing suspension heights.
I suppose you would set it low, and only raise it when off road.

Re: air bag suspension
thanks guys it looks like the spring rate of the bags stays the same through the differant levels of inflation, so something learnt.
will have a good scan of those links tomorrow.
cheers lee.
