Re: 12v fridge + leisure battery
I'm not an electric expert but I doubt the leisure battery would last more than half a day

Re: 12v fridge + leisure battery
Which is why most campers have 3 way (240v/12v/gas) or at least 2 way (12v/gas) fridges. 12v is only used when the van is running and swapped over when parked up.

Re: 12v fridge + leisure battery
the fridge should not even be connected to leisure battery anyway, only to the main battery via a relay when the engine is running.....
is it a real fridge or one of those toy coolbox things???

Re: 12v fridge + leisure battery
You should not try to run your fridge on 12v when stationary. That is what the gas is for.
The 12v will probably not even cool the fridge much as well as b*ggering your starter battery.
You have not mentioned gas. Is there a problem with it.

Re: 12v fridge + leisure battery
id prefere gas, its just a money thing. its not so much a priority at the moment as far as the list to sort out goes, ive looked for a 3 way fridge on here/ebay/other forums and theyre all far away so wondering how much harm - if any - a perminant 12v does.
