Awning Attachment Help!!!!

Hi All,

I've just bought a 2nd hand awning that only has "piping" to attach to the van, no loop for pole & clamp. Problem being is that I have a Westy with the black plastic trim on the rain gutter & so I can't attach a figure 8 fitting!!!!! I know, I know

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas as to how to attach this to the van without having to drill a rail onto the side or sew a loop into the existing canvas?

Ours has the pastic trim and the '8' rail fits ... although I put a 'J' rail on the hightop which is miles betterer

It looks like a 'J' and screws/rivets onto your hitop or above the gutter on a poptart. Available from caravan suppliers.
