`Hi, you also need the following:-
first aid kit, a lot of countries require 2 triangle and Hi Vis vest for all occuppants. Croatia requires you to have a tow rope, and if you wear glasses, all countries require you to have a spare pair of the same prescription, except Britain, of course
Croatian Dalmation coast is great We go there every year in our Westy. Enjoy your trip and have fun.
Regards, Graham

Get a shat -nav, then turn it off when you believe it can't possibly be right, opt for the scenic route then find yourself stuck in the smallest street in a hilltop village in Spain, and having to reverse out down a one way street , over the steps with all the locals pointing and laughing saying "it will never work!". Don't forget to dodge the low overhanging balconies and the parked cars. Try it, its great!!! Also don't be suprised when you put in a request for the local campsite and end up in the middle of a ghetto (Is that a politically correct term?), with people setting fire to stuff and wild dogs are chasing you and you are helpfully making suggestions to your OH that this doesn't look like an area where a campsite would be.
Other than this, the Shat Nav was great!!!

Hi Folks - have just joined with my 1985 petrol autosleeper. Hope the following is helpful.
Spent 3 weeks in May across Europe. Euro tunnel (quick and easy) straight through to Belgium to avoid Fench motorway tolls, then across Germany (no tolls) to Prague and southern Czech republic. On to Vienna - no trouble with GPS to this point. However next stop Bratislava - we tried to avoid motorways as a vignette needed on them. GPS useless, lots of new motorways courtesy of EU money, after going round in circles bought vignette - very cheap at fuel station, saw lots of vehicles stopped and fined for not having one
Bratislava big disappointment, stayed 2 hours! Camp site utilitarian. Strange to see a Tescos department store there. Drove to Tatra mountains but spent time there on the Polish side as petrol cheaper. Zakopane, Krakow and Auschwitx/Birkenau, then back into Czech to spend couple of days in the wonderfull limestone rocks area Teplice. Back into Poland, Germany, Belgium, France and tunnel home. Loved everywhere except Bratislava.
Take tow rope, triangle, 2 x yellow vests, first aid kit, spare bulbs, adaptor for 2 pin campsite hook ups (we didn't, lent twice at campsites, then had to use candles) as we didn't need them last year when we went to Italy.
Have lots of info on sites, routes, prices, etc.

Bit predictable perhaps, but how about passing through Wolfsburg and Autostadt? Then stroll along Porschestrasse for Kaffee und Kuchen at Cadera or a cruise on the Mittelland Kanal. Might be Sommerfest too. No, I don't work for the Niedersachsen tourist board...
