Hidden hookups, custom units and a Viking pop!

Hi All

Thinking hard about all things camper now that we've finally bought one (details below) Must get a pic posted...

Since it was a microbus (middle row long since gone) it's a blank canvas in the fitting stakes. I do not want to cut holes in the lovely, flat, rustfree side panels so here's the question:

Is it acceptable to mount things like 240v and water hookups etc behind the no.plate drop-down panel?
I can't see why not and it would be (most importantly of all) v.cool!

Due to pick up Viking pop-top from Leeds next week and drop off at Outermotive in Warwick for a refurb and fitting later in the summer.

Please warn me off if you've had a bad experience!!! (No offence to Outermotive )

Last up, I've got a great idea for a custom bulkhead unit that we'd like to get made - who does good work? Considering Vantastic and Inner motive, if we can afford it... Can't say more, it would spoil the suprise!

Look on there website they do some really nice shop fitting and house stuff as well as vans there members of the club too!

Something that's been troubling me on this project - how can I get cold air to the frigidaire so that it still works in the heat of a british summer (live in hope) without the attendant side panel chopping? Do NOT want nasty plastic grilles.

Someone must have sussed this one.

Not planning to have a 3-way cooler, would quite like to go all electric if at all possible. Still have to have a gas hob, though...

Could mount it like westy fridges are. Fridge is about 2" off floor as vent hot air from fridge inside van between window and counter.
