JK door cards

Post by albertramsbottom »

Hi just brought a pair of JK door cards. I was thinking orininally that I would just spray them and be done but they are covered in holes. So i am gonna have to cover them but I dont know whether they should be covered over the clips or under?

If I cover them under there will be an aweful lot of black clips showing but if I cover them over then I think the clips are a little bit rasised and would probably make the covering lumpy.

Can someone tell me how to do these things

Cheers in advance

Cover over the clips :? Put some curtain interlining on first then your choice of covering material. This will give it a padded look.

I covered mine in cotton. NOT a good idea as the sun bleaches this very quickly.

WHat sort of wadding as I have just got some foam padding and its a bit thin. I can see that you would need to least 5mm think to cover the clips. Well may be 3mm

I used 4oz Polyester Wadding to give it some padding. I bought a 10 mtr roll for a couple of quid. I have loads left over if you PM your address i'll send some your way next week
