VW camper vans for hire in London area

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you all know about our new startup business, which offers VW campervans for hire at afforable rates in and around London.

We are still working on the website etc but basically we have two high spec Volkswagen T3/T3 Westfalia camper vans available for rent this summer. For those not acquainted with these vans, these are very high spec and sought after buses which offer a great balance between classic looks and modern practicality. Faster and more reliable/modern/equipped/spacious than the earlier bays and splittys (which, don't get me wrong, we also love!!), but still with the aesthetics which make VW campers so iconic...

Westfalia were the only officially recognised camper van conversion so the interior is second to none. Features are:

· 2 hob gas stove
· 3 way fridge (runs of gas, battery or mains hookup)
· sink and running water
· electric hookup with interior plug socket
· auxiliary heating (for when the engine is off)
· 2 double beds (one rock and roll double bed downstairs, another full width double in the expanding roof)
· super comfy captains seats with armrests which turn round to face the back seats
· “poptop" roof so you can stand up inside at night, but drive with ease in the day
· masses of storage
· movable table top
· all round curtains
· etc etc.

In addition to the above both vans come with upmarket remote control CD/MP3 sound systems, satellite navigation sets, full crockery and cutlery, fold up camping chairs and BBQ.

The vans we have are:
· Vic II - a white 1986 westy "Club joker"
· Bob - a red 1989 westy "California"

Both vans are diesel, making them very economical too " they do about 500 miles per £50 tank (though as you might expect they're no F1 cars!)

The vans come with satnav, EU breakdown cover and fully insured for you (proper commercial insurance, not the "under the counter" changes to a domestic policy which won't cover you if there is an incident).

Summer time rates start from £350 for a long weekend, and for a small additional charge, we can also rent out a roofrack (for surfboards etc), large roofbox, bike rack, large drive away awning and other camping accessories...

We'd like to get some bookings in to cover our considerable startup costs, so will offer a 10% discount on all packages booked by Saturday 27th June.

I have a couple of questions.

The MPG quoted sounds pretty good. What type of diesel engine do they have?

Do they have a grill? I like toast.

I'll add some of the other van (Bob, our red california) when my new camera arrives (having left my current one on a beach, doh!!).

In response to questions (sorry so late replying, didn't spot them initially then I've been on holiday!): they are 1.6 diesels. No grill but I do supply them with BBq so maybe you could toast on that!!

Note that he is now sporting a brand new Justkampers 3 window poptop canvas. He is also UK registered but I left the German plates on for the pics as I don't want his ID copied!!
