Information on Bleeding the old type T25 coolent system.

Post by thetattoomaster »

Hi there,
I have noticed that on my camper there is what looks like a Bleed Pipe for the Cooling System( it seems that the earlier 1.9 diesels had them fitted), can someone tell me if this is so, and if so how do you go about bleeding it. See pic below.
Many Thanks
Dave

T25s where not factory fitted with 1.9 diesels but 1.6n /1.6td.The bleed screw is located on top of the rad offside behind the grill.

Hi there,
Cheers for that info.....the engine in my van was replaced in 2001 acording to the bills that came with it and it is a 1.9 diesel non turbo, poss from a passat or a Golf Mk3. I have tried bleeding the standard way but seem to have air up towards the rad.

Cheers
