Thermo mats v Curtains

Curtains have a greater visual impact on the interior - choose your fabric and you can have louche lounge, boudoir, smart dining room, or whatever you want, and they soften the edges of the interior for a homely feel.

I also have home-made thermo screens (winter camping in Lakes), but might upgrade to proper JK ones if I stumble upon some going cheap.

The van I have now came with these and they are brilliant. They are sort of a semi rigid material. It rolls up small and is easy to pack away but blacks out the van nicely.

We use both.

The mats from JK now come in a silky bag which is actually not bad for storage longer term but we tend to just pile the mats on back parcel shelf while travelling. They fold easily enough and not that bad.

Also in summer the mats do stop the van from becoming the mobile oven while we are out and about..

The final feather in the cap is the total blackout effect in van which means we always lie in.....

We have both on our Kamper ( poptop ) but tend to use curtains far more , once JK mats are neatly stored in wardrobe i hates gettin em out agin .

i always use thermo mats from jk. ive had this set now fore about 3 years and still work fine. a few things though. 1, fore hygine reasons use a wet cloth to attach them to windows peeps, 2 i lay them under the dovet when traveling thas saves roleing them up, and 3 yes like everyone else says its a blackout! all this from hard experience as i had to live in my t 25 fore 3 years while house was under renovation! laborious? well yes. it does take longer to put them up but people come on dont be lazy.

Bought a set from JK £73 delivered, not much more than flea-bay £55 with £10 P&P, but what a work up putting all those suckers on And now I have fitted them they wont go back in the bag, which is the size of a small tent and the sucker on the ones for the front doors lines up exactly with the door lock so they won't stick and don't get me started on JK delivery using City Link that has a depot hidden 8 miles from the centre of town

We have both. But we also have a young child, thermo matts every time! If its just me going away for a night then i'll just use the curtains. If I didnt have the high top for storage then i'd not bother.
