van heater cold?

van heater cold?

hi folks,iv not used my van t25 1984 1.9 petrol devon,for a week and the heater in the cab was excellent before parking up very hot but after starting and leaving it to get up to temperature its now cool when heater switch to red,it was set to blue cool air before i parked up is it stuck termostate?any ideas cheers steve.

The heater circuit is separate from the cooling circuit so the thermostat doesn't have any effect on your heater.
No idea what it could be though sorry.

firstly check inlet pipes into heater matrix are they hot?if so then check control lever that switches between hot and cold
useually cable operated sometimes these pop off.if neither of these then maybe silted up heater matrix
disconect pies from matrix and flush out with hose till clear.hope this is of use. :ok

Check the cable hasn't come adrift at either the dash control end or the valve. The valve is behind your spare wheel if I remember correctly. If the cable has a kink in it it may not work the valve either.
