Sliding door mechanisms... how many types??

I thought there were just early and late... left and right... am i wrong?

(I'm talking the mechanism in the front of the door with the handle in it) ...

The one I have here is part number 252843653 and came from an '83 ish RHD, LH slider bus...

Anyone know the part number of the later one?

Or if there is an earlier one? (maybe with a catch on the front edge?)

I was hoping someone could tell me if there were more than 2 styles and if so when they were fitted...

The catalogue is ok but without knowing if/ when things changed, could take for ever to look through!

From what I can gather there were 4 early types but 2 are no longer listed on ETOS, and 4 late types

Not sure if they are interchangeable between late and early
