i have a 1982 t25 camper with high top it has a 1.8 manual petrol / lpg engine in it but the head gasket has gone it has an en code on it
is this a standerd engine for this van as im told it is also fitted to a mk1 golf clippre and scirocco is it best to do the head or repace the engine any help would be great as im used to air cooled bugs
take a picture of your engine bay , This will help folk tell you what engine you have
you say it's 1.8 ? if so then its not the standard T25 engine but could be a standard VW straight 4 petrol engine (golf/passatt ect.) fitted via a diesel bell housing.
this is the van i have a bit of work to do on it but it has a bit of mot left and i am going to paint it kawasaki green and keep the roof white and put some slk200 merk wheels on it
1.8 "golf" engine... have a look on the block for the engine number, this will tell you what engine it is and help identify what head gasket it requires...
Oh, can you fill out your profile with a town... just so we know what part of the country you are in... There may be a member local to you that can help...
