Front diff backlash...

Post by amazingdave »

Hiya, with one front wheel jacked up, how much rotational freeplay should there be at the wheel? I've got about 3cm at the tread with a fairly loud clonk at each end... normal?

0.15mm at the pinion plus 0.17mm across the diff plus a nats dadge on the splines plus the cv joints and another three sets of splines so 3cm at the outer dia is probably rightish

Is that a metric nats dadge Aidan?
