I have a 2.2 subaru lump in the back of mine and they do get hot I fitted an overide switch to put the fan on the radiator to help cool things down you have to rememeber these vans have the engine in a box at the back with nearly 5 meters each way to and from the radiator in the front! When sat in traffic for that long switch the engine off if you can, saves fuel and heating up! How many modern cars do you hear in traffic with the fans running full tilt every 5 mins to cool the engine!
Dont replace the cap from GSF carparts use VW main dealer or JKampers .welshbird wrote:Thanks Camper, I shall concentrate on replacing that screw lid (I can see that the rubber seal/washer is knack'd) seal and getting system bled & refilled and take it from there.
