1.9 DG Water Boxer, Need Part Number

Post by Uberpussy »

Ive got a split plastic house mount and I can't for the life of me find a replacement. The part in question is on right side of the pulley end of the engine. It mounts near the water flange and exhaust manifold and is a plastic elbow that bolts directly onto the block and is about 15cm long. It connects the hose to the right side of the water pump.

Can anyone possibly get me a part number or somewhere on-line that sells this item?

Many thanks for the diagram Rob, the part in question is no 42 by the looks. Have you got the page that refers to that part number?

They are obsolete from VW and so (untill I can get some made) you'll have to post a wanted add in the Wanted Forum and hope a breaker has one available.

Sorry, Ian.

I think they're already being re-made, saw one on a german website the other day.

Not the news I wanted to hear but at least I know where I stand. Bit of a nightmare that I have a brand new engine with 95% new parts and it's useless without this part.

Cheers for the info though. I'll post an ad and start visiting the scrap yards.

They are in my box of things to take to the machine shop when I get some time along with the rest of the WBX useless leaky water flanges and pipes.
