Changing oil...

Post by Helga »

Hi

Changing the oil in my 2 litre 82 air cooled this week, have ordered gasket set etc from online, but was wondering about the oil strainer... do I need a new one of those too? Or do you just clean it?

Thanks!

Depends how old it is. Can't hurt to replace it and they don't cost much. But, if it's been replaced in the last few years a clean would do fine.

Just clean it :ok I understand that the after market ones are of a very much inferior quality!
