Sorry me again

Post by albertramsbottom »

Right I have a secondhand door with a handle but no keys.

My door has half a motorbike stuck in it and I think that the lock is bent. Now is it possible to remove the barrell from my broken dorr handle and put it in the secondhand door handle that I dont have keys for?

I dont really have an alternative becuase if I get a new door handle I am going to have two keys for both doors that are different.

Thanks

Speak to robin at custom and commercial, if you send him a key, he will supply a barrel keyed alike so that you still have one key.

I would maybe get a copy of the key before you post it as he took a couple of weeks to turn mine round.

It is possible to change the barrels over. You will need the original key (to line everything up when removing).
If i remember rightly, when I did mine there was a small pin running through the handle and lock assembly that had to be knocked out first.
