Propane Bottle

I have a European bus and a custom made gas locker that currently holds a 5kg propane bottle that is the same diameter as a Campingaz 907. It currently has gas in it but I will need to replace it sometime so am trying to source a suitable replacement now. I could use a Campingaz cylinder but it is Butane and I need Propane as the Butane is useless in the cold.

The base is 205mm in diameter. Does anyone know where I could get replacements or a refillable bottle.

I have been told I could get a transfer pump and refill it myself but don't really know what to get to do this. I can of course ring our gas fitting friends in Wales (Gasure) and will do but thought I would ask if anyone has had this issue before.

Have a drive to any builders yard, forecourt etc that sells gas and ask to try which bottles will fit is probably the best option for a custom built locker.
Camping Gaz will work out more expensive, in my experience, than the likes of Calor. We had a German propane bottle and managed to squeeze a 6kg Calor propane in (fitted with an adapter from Gaslow to the existing reg) but since re-lining the locker, that's been reduced to a 3.9kg, and we've got a proper uk reg now too! Calor dealers also have the "option" to waive the deposit on a new bottle, by ticking the box on the new customer form that says you're swapping from another brand.

All the standard stuff is no good. You can see from the picture the fit is tight and only a 205mm in diameter bottle will work.

Loks like a job for Gasure, like you said, of perhaps a Gaslow refillable?

Checked the Gaslow 6kg refillable and it is too big. I am thinking I may have to do the refilling thing.

Found a chap that will sort out the cylinder so I can refill it at the LPG garages. Lots caveats but can be done cheaply and safely.
