hi there, with prepping for rustoleum painting, do you flatten down the whole section then work on the rust spots and vactan them, and then paint over, or do you flatten down and sand the patches of vactan? i am only asking this because i am not sure of the logic of sanding the vactan patches if they are protecting and sealing against rust? i guess you could flatten down with a 1200 grade subtle paper .. any opinions on this?

i think i answered this in the paint your wagon thread but its a combination i'd say. you can apply it more than once ofcourse.
