Going off subject a bit now but how much clear varnish is a "touch". Got mine to do later. Done previous one and got a good job but without the clear varnish.

Right then, my daughters father in law is a bus and coach finnisher and what he knows and does is not in any manuals but comes from 50 years experience (thought I would make that clear so I dont get shot down in flames) I think it was acrylic paint and I actually bought it from MOVAC, dont know if they have outlets everywhere but were very helpfull. Anyway daughters F. In Law, Arthur came round had a stir and a sniff and produced a tin of varnish which must have been acrylic. He put 200mls in 1 litre of paint. I will be seeing him next weekend and I will ask him, just to be sure, what paint for rolling and what varnish to add so watch this space and dont buy anything yet, to be sure, to be sure.
Have not got a clue what the answer is to the other 2 questions you awkward old git. Hows the manifold doing ?

Q.2 If The Sun is so far away how come I can buy it every day at the local newsagents. :?
Q.1 The cheetah is NOT the fastest land animal. I had a few guinness last night and a very strong Indian takeaway (ring warmer with chips!). I did nearly 95 mph this morning going from bedroom to toilet!
Q.3 Manifold: Was he related to Manny Shinwell?

Yes , please do let us know about the varnish please.
