If they have run hot then the heat treatment might have gone, hard to say from the photo's really

any pitting or uneven wear on the lobes or journals is not too great long term, wear will accelarate once the case hardness starts to go, if you're rebuilding it with a view to keeping the van, best bet would be new cam and lifters, make sure you get one with the same/matching ' + - or 0' markings on the gear, if buying a genuine cam, to keep the backlash correct, or re-fit the original gear to the new cam if you can rivet it on. ( genuine new cam = v pricey!)
