Will it fit!?

Post by willard »

Another exhaust question...Looking at getting a new silensor and tail pipe for by van as cheap as possible, and lokoing at the JK ones would the Quiet pack exhaust fit my 1.9DG (F reg) with the old style exhaust system? It looks like the connections would suit, but not sure if it really would go together right. If anyones fitted one would like to know, especially as to what "rear valance may need adjusting" Are we talking cutting or tapping out with a hard lump?

Any suggestions would eb helpful...or the recommendation of another unit/ supplier.

Cheers

To go from two inlet to one inlet you will need the following parts

Aluminium cast rear engine carrier (with support lugs.)
silencer carriers
side splash tin
Exhaust silencer shroud with cut outs

The two systems are not compatable

plus empi quiet packs are complete and utter c.r.a.p as they rust like feck and actually rob engine power.

utter waste of money.

Cheers guys. Asked a mechanic and got told to go for the "standard" unit to fit what I have. At least that way it should all fit right and work.

Taken note of the EMPI gear...seems to be the common consent that the stuff is less durable than tinfoil :?
